Grand Canyon Road Trip from Vegas
Grand Canyon West is a census-designated place in Mohave County, Arizona,
United States, located on the Hualapai Reservation.
We visited Eagle Point first and then moved on to Guano Point, where the colours just
glowed in the final throws of sunset.

It reminded us of the Blue Mountains in Australia, which cover an area of
11,400 km2 (4,401 sq mi). To compare the Grand Canyon measures 4,931 km2
(1,904 sq mi) and so is actually much smaller, just more famous!

The vastness of the Canyon is hard to capture in photographs but hopefully we’ve
managed to show the amazing changes in the rock colour as the sun gradually dropped.

Seeing the distant mountain ridges as we approached the canyon only gave us a taster of what was to come. The vastness of this place is hard to capture in photographs but hopefully we’ve managed to show the amazing changes in the rock colour as the sun gradually dropped.
