Tap O' Noth, Aberdeenshire Scotland
We didn't go looking for snow but guess what we found some when we went exploring.

The Iron Age hillfort on Tap O' Noth is one of the largest in Scotland, consisting of 21 ha enclosed by a stone rampart. This was a new place for us to visit and at 563 metres above sea level we were rewarded with fabulous views at the top.
It is understandable why this hill was an ancient fort around 3000 years ago. They would have seen the enemy coming for miles around.
The remains are impressive, and the views over rural Aberdeenshire are superb.

Such a fantastic afternoon. Free parking and a good gradient time for some tea and cake.
